Thoughtful inquiry is needed.
What makes Needed’s CoQ10 different from others?
We use Ubiquinol, which is the most bioavailable form, accounting for over 90% of CoQ10 in your blood. The more common supplement form, Ubiquinone, must be converted to Ubiquinol by the body before it's absorbed.
When should I start taking CoQ10?
It’s never too early to start (or too late), but we suggest 3 months before trying to conceive at a minimum. It takes 90 days for sperm to mature, and during this period they are vulnerable. Sperm health impacts conception outcomes and the health of a growing baby.
Should I take 1 or 2 capsules?
Each softgel contains 200 mg of Ubiquinol. Both doses of 1 or 2 softgels (200mg and 400 mg) have been studied for their safety and efficacy. The 200 mg offered in 1 softgel serves as a supportive dose and may be a desired place to start if this is your first time taking CoQ10, or as a maintenance dose. The 400 mg offered in 2 softgels provides additional support and may be desired if you have less lead time prior to conception, or known health conditions that may be supported by CoQ10.
Is your CoQ10 vegan, allergen free, and non-GMO?
Our CoQ10 is not vegetarian or vegan. It contains gelatin derived from ethically sourced bovine, as well as beeswax. It is allergen free, meaning no milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, and gluten. It is also free of GMOs, artificial colors, artificial flavors, preservatives, and other additives and fillers.
What “other ingredients” are included in your CoQ10?
Our CoQ10 is free of gross additives and fillers. It’s made with vegetable capsules and includes only Medium Chain Triglycerides, Gelatin, Ascorbyl Palmitate (a fat soluble form of Vitamin C), Glycerin, Sunflower Lecithin, Annatto (a carotenoid-rich compound made from the seeds of the achiote tree), And Beeswax.
Why should I take it with food?
CoQ10 is a fat-soluble compound, so taking it with food can help your body absorb it more efficiently and effectively.
Where is your CoQ10 Manufactured?
Our CoQ10 is manufactured in the United States at a FDA, GMP and QAI Certified Organic facility.
What kind of testing do you do?
We third party test every batch for performance and quality, including nutritional content, pesticides and herbicides, heavy metals, microbes, allergens, and other contaminants.
Is CoQ10 safe to take with other supplements?
We designed our products to be taken together. We encourage men and women to take our CoQ10 alongside our Multis, Omega-3+, and Pre/Probiotics. Together these products optimally support your preconception, perinatal, and general health.
Why should I start a subscription? How does a subscription work?
Daily, continuous supplementation is needed to maintain optimal nutritional levels. Our subscription ensures you never miss a day of optimal nourishment. We’ll send you an email each month, a few days before we charge you and ship your next box. You can delay an order, or cancel your subscription at any time, right from your account page.
We already got pregnant, is your product still for me?
For men with partners who are currently pregnant, CoQ10 has a number of healthy benefits beyond fertility that can benefit you now and well into your upcoming dad years, including energy and metabolic health, heart health, and more. For women who are currently pregnant, we recommend consulting with your provider prior to taking CoQ10.
