Our Founding Story

As mothers and trained nutritionists, we were shocked to discover how nutritionally depleted we were—despite doing “everything right.” The research confirmed it: 95% of women, from fertility through perimenopause, are deficient in key nutrients. Most women’s vitamins are built on outdated science, minimal dosing, and research conducted on men’s bodies. So we partnered with leading doctors, dietitians, and women’s health researchers to understand what women actually need. Needed was created to replenish what women are missing—raising the standard for women’s nutrition far beyond bare minimums.

Our Founding Story
The Motherspan™ by Needed®

Based on a comparison of each brand's labeled daily serving amounts of vitamins and minerals relative to the pregnancy Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs), calculated as an average across those nutrients. As of May 2026.
