Blueberry Almond Protein Smoothie
This nourishing smoothie is as delicious as it is easy to make. The protein, healthy fats, and low sugar content will help to balance your blood sugar and leave you feeling satisfied (until that pregnancy and breastfeeding hunger strikes again!)
1 packet Needed Omega-3 tailored for a mama-to-be
1 scoop unflavored or vanilla protein powder (vegan or collagen-based)
1/2 tsp vanilla (recommended if using unflavored protein)
1 cup organic blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1 small handful of almonds, or 1 tablespoon nut butter
1/2 to 1 cup water (or milk of choice)
5 ice cubes
1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender. Depending on your desired thickness, you may want to start with less water and add more as it blends.
2. Once thoroughly combined (30-60 seconds on high speed), pour into a glass and enjoy!
