Does your prenatal  include things you don't need  like:
xUnnecessary fillers
xPoor nutrient forms like Folic Acid
xNutrients better taken separately including Omega-3 and Iron
xIngredients sourced unsustainably like Vegan D3
xAdded herbs and botanicals that are better taken as needed
xHigh heavy metal loads (found in most food-based vitamins)

The right nutrients in bioavailable forms, including the following 12 key nutrients (+11 others)

We are thoughtful about every ingredient, using exactly what’s needed.

Biotin

10mg as 50% Riboflavin 5-Phosphate and 50% Riboflavin
Biotin is a B vitamin that helps turn the carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in the food you eat into energy.
How it supports women:
  • active in energy metabolism
  • cofactor for enzymes involved in many metabolic pathways
  • plays a role in fatty acid and carbohydrate metabolism
  • formation of keratin and development of epidermal cells and hair and nails, improving their condition

Choline

50mg as Choline Bitartrate (VitaCholine™)
Choline is a critical nutrient that is often missing from multivitamins since it is bulky and can be difficult to formulate with. Dietary sources of Choline are quite low, so most women could benefit from a supplement.
How it supports women:
  • healthy metabolism
  • normal liver function
  • efficient uptake of Omega-3 DHA
  • memory and sleep-wake cycle function, due to its role in synthesizing the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine
  • healthy cell membranes
  • healthy blood pressure

Iodine

20mcg
Potassium Iodide is a well absorbed and reliable source of Iodine. Studies have found wide variations in the content of Iodine sourced from kelp. Too little and too much Iodine can be harmful.
How it supports women:
  • normal thyroid function
  • healthy metabolism

Magnesium

16mg as niacinamide
Magnesium Glycinate, specifically Magnesium BisGlycinate, is a mineral chelate where the Magnesium is bound to two glycine amino acids. This form is better absorbed and gentler to digest than other forms of Magnesium. Some other forms, like Magnesium Oxide, can be so poorly absorbed that they can cause loose stools and inhibit the absorption of other nutrients.
How it supports women:
  • healthy blood pressure
  • bowel regularity
  • muscle relaxation
  • promotes relaxation and improved sleep quality

Selenium

50mg/2,000IU as Cholecalciferol
Selenomethione is the most well-absorbed form of selenium.
How it supports women:
  • healthy thyroid function
  • cell protection from oxidation
  • fertility and conception

Vitamin A

1,000mcg as 50% Beta Carotene and as 50% Retinyl Palmitate
Retinyl Palmitate is an active form that is more readily usable by the body. Beta Carotene is often poorly absorbed and inefficiently converted into the active form. And, many women have a genetic variation that prevents the conversion completely.
How it supports mama:
  • immune function
  • healthy skin and vaginal tissues
  • thyroid function
  • production of hormones like estrogen and progesterone

Vitamin B12

200mcg as 50% Adenosylcobalamin and 50% Methylcobalamin
Adenosylcobalamin and Methylcobalamin are the two active coenzyme forms that are readily usable by the body. Adenosylcobalamin supports energy and a healthy metabolism, and is often missing in multivitamins. Cyanocobalamin, the more common form of B12, consists of a harmful compound that requires additional processing for safe removal from the body. We avoid this form.
How it supports women:
  • energy levels
  • healthy metabolism
  • cognitive health
  • managing stress

Vitamin C

150mg as Ascorbic Acid
Ascorbic Acid is the main form of Vitamin C found naturally in fruit and other foods.
How it supports women:
  • immune function
  • antioxidant - prevents cell damage
  • healthy connective tissues and skin (collagen synthesis)
  • iron absorption
  • mental health as a component of neurotransmitter biosynthesis
  • metabolism and healthy energy levels

Vitamin D

50mg/2,000IU as Cholecalciferol
Vitamin D3 is technically not a vitamin, but a prohormone. Prohormones are the building blocks of fully formed hormones. Your skin produces Vitamin D3 when it is exposed to sunlight. But, most women don't get enough sun and Vitamin D is difficult to get from food. In addition, many women contain genetic variations that predispose them to lower levels of Vitamin D. Vitamin D3 is more readily used by the body than Vitamin D2.
How it supports women:
  • immune function
  • calcium and phosphorus absorption
  • immune function
  • calcium and phosphorus absorption
  • bind and eliminate toxins
  • healthy blood pressure

Vitamin E

50mg/2,000IU as Cholecalciferol
Tocopherols are antioxidants that occur naturally in foods such as nuts, seeds, and leafy green vegetables. We source ours from rapeseed oil rather than the more commonly found soybean oil. We provide 64mg of mixed tocopherols overall, with 30mg from d-alpha tocopherols declared as Vitamin E.
How it supports women:
  • healthy skin
  • anti-aging
  • healthy neurological function
  • normal cardiac function
  • healthy lipid profiles
  • normal inflammatory response

Vitamin K2

680mcg DFE / 408 mcg Folate as L-Methylfolate, Glucosamine Salt Quatrefolic®
Vitamin K2 as MK-7 (Menaquinone-7). MK-7 is found in fermented vegetables like natto and produced by healthy colonic bacteria. It lasts longer in the body than other forms of Vitamin K2.
How it supports women:
  • bone health
  • blood sugar balance
  • normal blood clotting
  • a normal inflammatory response
  • protecting skin elasticity
  • utilizing Vitamin D3

Zinc

10mg as Calcium D-Pantothenate
This chelated form of Zinc bound to Glycine is easily absorbed and gentle on the stomach.
How it supports women:
  • immune function
  • protein synthesis

Thoughtful inquiry is needed.

When should I take the Women’s Multi?
We recommend our Prenatal Multi when you are preparing to conceive (ideally 6-12 months in advance), actively trying to conceive, pregnant, or postpartum (6 months after birth, or 3 months after weaning). Our Women's Multi is an optimal choice for all other stages of womanhood.
Why do you offer Iron separately?
We recommend taking Iron away from our Women’s Multi, as Iron can interact negatively with other nutrients. We also recommend taking only as much as you need (some women do not need to supplement), as too much supplemental Iron can generate oxidative stress and alter the gut microbiome. Talk to your health practitioner about testing your Iron status, and supplement only if you are falling short. Our Iron is bound to Glycine for better absorption and digestive comfort.
Why do the amounts of some of the nutrients in Women’s Multi exceed the percent Daily Value?
We designed our Women’s Multi to help you thrive, not just survive. Daily Values are set off of the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs) which most often do not offer enough nutritional value for women. Learn more here.
Is your Women’s Multi vegan, allergen free, and Non-GMO?
Our Women’s Multi is vegetarian, but not vegan. There are considerable sustainability questions around the common vegan source of Vitamin D3, lichen. Lichen is a moss-like organism that exists as a composite of fungus and algae. It is an important part of the Arctic tundra ecosystem and grows "extremely slowly", less than a millimeter per year. For this reason, we prefer a “mind-fully made” D3 originally sourced from lanolin. It is allergen free, meaning no milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, and gluten. It is also free of GMOs, artificial colors, artificial flavors, preservatives, and other additives and fillers.
What “other ingredients” are included in your Women’s Multi?
Our Women’s Multi is free of gross additives and fillers. It’s made with vegetable capsules and includes only L-Leucine, an amino acid, to help with flow.
Will the Women’s Multi make my urine a bright yellow?
It may at times, especially with consistent use. B Vitamins in particular can cause urine to change to a bright yellow hue. Your body is excreting what it doesn’t need. We use nutrient forms that are most easily absorbed by the body, but because we set dosages to be fully supportive, the nutrient amounts may sometimes be more than you need. At our dosages, this is not harmful in any way, but just a guarantee you hit optimal amounts.
Where is the Women’s Multi manufactured?
The Women’s Multi is manufactured in the United States at a FDA, GMP and QAI Certified Organic facility.
What kind of testing do you do?
We third party test every batch for performance and quality, including nutritional content, pesticides and herbicides, heavy metals, microbes, allergens, and other contaminants.
Do you suggest taking more than just the Women’s Multi?
We designed our Women’s Multi to be taken safely alongside our range of women’s health products. We recommend combining our Women’s Multi with our Omega-3+ for optimal energy, hormone and brain health, and beauty, and a healthy immune response. For more comprehensive nourishment, we recommend our Women’s Health Plan.
Why should I start a subscription? How does a subscription work?
Daily, continuous supplementation is needed to maintain optimal nutritional levels. Our subscription ensures you never miss a day of optimal nourishment. We’ll send you an email each month, a few days before we charge you and ship your next box. You can delay an order, or cancel your subscription at any time, right from your account page.
I’m thinking about becoming pregnant soon, is this the right product for me?
The Women’s Multi is tailored for before and beyond pregnancy. It is beneficial in the preconception phase to build your stores of key nutrients that are commonly depleted during pregnancy. Furthermore, research suggests that a mama’s habits prior to conception influence her baby’s well-being not just at birth, but also for its entire lifetime. The more you have prior to pregnancy, the better you may be able to feel during pregnancy. For more comprehensive nourishment, we recommend our Prenatal Multi Capsules or Powder.
What happens if I miss a day? Or a few days?
Don't sweat it. We know how busy life can get. We suggest building your Women’s Multi consumption into an existing routine (like taking it with breakfast), to keep the habit strong. Taking your Women’s Multi every day will provide positive, long-lasting results.
