1% for the Planet verifies member commitments annually by reviewing submitted documentation of revenue and proof of donations to approved environmental partners.

This documentation is then used to confirm that the committed 1% of annual sales was donated to vetted nonprofit organizations, and continued membership depends on completing this annual certification process.
